Privacy Policy

Your privacy is fundamental to the design of Urlyth. This policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Local-First Data Storage

Urlyth is built as a serverless application. All notes, voice recordings, and visual snapshots are stored locally on your device using the chrome.storage.local API. We do not maintain central servers to store your web content.

2. Information Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or sell any of the information you create within the extension. Your data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly use the "Export" feature to create a manual backup on your own hardware.

3. Permissions Explained

4. Data Retention

You have full control. If you delete a note or use the "Nuclear Delete" feature, the data is removed immediately from your device. Uninstalling the extension will also clear all locally stored notes.
